OK, anyone know what the deal is with the internal sensors?
According to the manual, the internal sensors should be disabled if the roof is down. This seems to be the case (if I lock the car, wait a bit and stick my hand in and wave it the alarm doesn't go off).
However, if I take the windows down and lock it again, the alarm DOES go off if I wave my hand in front of the sensors, but it doesn't seem particularly responsive (I can take stuff out the back seats and the alarm usually won't go off).
I'm thinking of getting a better alarm with microwave sensors that will detect people putting their hands in the car - has anyone got any recommendations? Is it easy to fit a new alarm into a multiplexed CC, and what happens with the existing alarm? Do I need to use a seperate key fob for the new alarm or would it work when I locked the car?
Also I see that some of the more advanced alarms have options such as window closure. Does this work on a multiplexed CC?
Cheers!
