Windstop question

Does any know where I can order it overseas?? i am in australia, seems like it is not available in my country. :sad:
Any place offer online order or is it possible that could anyone buy one for me and post it to here??? I'd really appreciate this!!!!!!

Fido, definitely available in Oz - I know coz I have one (and by the way well worth the investment).

Give Mark Drake a call at Straightway Mentone. Tell him I referred you. He will be able to order it for you, might take a couple of weeks.

By the way, ask him about the CC insignia floor mats. I have them too and they look the business. It all fits perfectly and locks down (believe me this is a blessing after the aftermarket ones I had in my 306 Cab held my clutch pedal down).

By the way, please let me know who your dealer is. Obviously they're not "in the loop" and I'll be happy to pass this on to Peugeot Australia.

If you're not, let me know where you are and I'll get you your windstop through your dealer. In that way they fit it, and any problems can be referred to them. As I said though, I'm thrilled with mine.

Hi Frosty!!!!! It is definitely fantasic to hear that!!!!! I am in Sydney, and my dealer unlikely know much about those accessories for 206cc!!! what I only got was carpet mats with 206cc logo on. My dealer is Alec Mildren, do you also need the address? which is 555 Pacific Highway, Artarmon NSW 2064, and what else information that you need?? my reg.?

Btw, any other accessories that you reckon is worth to be considered??

Happy to help how I can.

I'd suggest you get your dealer to give Mark Drake a call at Straightway Motors Mentone on 03 9584 9974. He will be able to point your dealer in the right direction as to how to order the wind-stop on the Peugeot Australia ordering system. I too have the mats and they look great - love the way they fit perfectly and lock down. The only other accessory that I have is locking wheel nuts, which I believe is a good investment. I haven't bought anything else - may consider a space saver tyre but jury is still out on that.

By the way, did you get a baby seat with yours? I did as too did Kirk in Adelaide, I'm just trying to work out if this is a requirement of State legislation or whether it is for all of Oz.

How much are the CC insignia mats? I got some aftermarket ones last week, they fit ok so I'll stay with them for now but CC-specific ones would be better. When I asked my dealer about mats he said they only have 206-specific ones and they were about $90. A little high for my liking.

As for the windstop how much did that set you back? I must admit that I don't really have any troubles with wind in the cabin. I've never really thought that it was much of an issue. Anyway my hair's long-ish so I'm not too fussed with it blowing around. I always thought that was part of the appeal of a convertible was to have the wind through the hair

My only query is on a cool day does it let you put the roof down without feeling the cold? If so then it might be worthwhile. But I'm not sure I like the look of the windstop sticking up at the back - I think it detract's from the overall look of the car.

Oh yeh and believe it or not it has rained the last 2 days. We had the longest record of consecutive days without rain - 56 - since 1956. The good news is I drove it from the carpark to my garage at home in the rain and no sign of leaking but other than that it hasn't had much of a chance to get significantly wet to test for leaks! Unless it is raining while I'm driving I don't get much of a chance to test it because the car is either locked up in the garage at home or in an undercover carpark at work. Do you experience leaks when driving in the rain or is it just when it has been sitting in the rain and you drive off and brake?

As to the baby seat, I did ask my dealer about this but the answer was they have no idea that this should be part of standard accessories of 206CC in australia and obviously I didn't get my baby seat!! How do I know if this is a requirement in sydney as well??

btw, what is locking wheel nuts??

locking wheels nuts means one of them on each wheel requires a special key to remove the nut - so no one can nick your wheels

Derek, it seemed strange to me that the lock nuts are an accessory here - guess it's just a difference in standard spec from country to country

How much are the CC insignia mats? No idea â€“ mine were a freebie. I reckon though theyâ€™d be close to $100. Look great, especially when you donâ€™t have to pay for them.
As for the windstop how much did that set you back? Windstop is about $800. I like the look of it. It definitely cuts down turbulence and I like the way it actually gives a bit of security in the back seat area when the roof is down. Definitely an accessory of personal choice.

Only when itâ€™s been sitting in the rain and when you open the door the seal fills up and the water has nowhere to go other than through the gap in the seal near the latch. Iâ€™m taking into the dealer tomorrow. They think I may possibly have a different seal to those now being delivered, so will wait and see and let you know.

I think I understand the question

1. you can see some pics on the windstop on my car in the members section #248

2. re the function, it closes off the rear seat area, effectively blocking turbulence from being created with wind flow from over the front windscreen. The raised barrier further reduces wind turbulence enetering the drivers compartment. Having used it I find it excellent. On the freeway at 100km/h with roof off and windows up there's hardly any wind in the cabin.

actually can hardly see the windstop without notice, I've seen those pics before but didn't notice that, shame.....or I would have asked this question much earlier.
