hey snap! I'm getting married on August 30th too (but presumably not to you!) I'm making sure my beautiful CC is nowhere near the Church or the Reception - I'm not having any of my mad friends doing anything nasty to it!! I've heard some real horror stories about bread rolls in air filters and lipstick damage to paint work - so we are taking taxis everywhere. Not sure I'd get my huge meringue-type frock into the CC anyway!!

Would love to come along to a meet - don't care where!! Just let me know date and venue and I'll be there!! - How about Cadbury World and I can eat myself sick instead of just theme park ride sick?!!
If I'm not here I'm in Symi.....where the sun is always shining.....

i would travel as far south as alton towers but would prefer a two day i.e. weekend meet as erm suggested a few months ago.

seems a bit pointless to drive 600 miles for about 7 hours.

Hmmmm, Alton Towers is a b*ggering long way for us southern softies. Oh and I puked there last time, on the corkscrew. And yes, I was sitting in the front row with it running down my... Oh I'll stop there   Cadbury world sounds FABULOUS.

I liked Burge's idea of a weekend at her house then onto York for ghost chasing. Or was I imagining it?

So Alton Towers is a long way but York isnt?!?! ;)

Can't we let a vote decide it? Something along the lines of:

Where should we all meet:

1) Somewhere in the South
2) Somewhere in the North
3) Somewhere in between
4) Somewhere else
5) Really not fussed either way
6) Go where you like I'm not coming anyway

Not trying to p**s on anyone's parade here as being from the south I'm quite happy with a 30 minute drive to Thorpe Park. I'm just suggesting that if the idea is to get the maximum number of peeps from the forum to go then the best way is if we go with the easy travelling option for the majority of people who are looking to attend.

Personally speaking I'm option 5)
