just booked mine in for it's 20,000 mile service the prices are as follows -

service £126
brake fluid - flush out and refill MUST be done 2years or 20,000 £49.99

then they said it'll help if i had a 'Emission control service' which means they put stuff in the fuel tank that cleans out the fuel injectors also some stuff in the oil that cleans the intake valves (can scan in the leaflet for more info) £24.99  - IS THIS WORTH IT or just something else they can make money on ????

and finally a courtesy car for £7.05 for the duration of the service per day

a grand total of £208.03

does this seem a little steep to you lot

plus i've given them a list of 6 faults/niggles to look at while they've got it :D

Booked mine in for 20k too this week.

3 week wait for the next available appointment with a courtesy car. Great.

But they did say if I dropped it off in the morning it should be ready by lunchtime. That will be 'should' but probably 'won't.'

I forgot to ask about the cost!

But I remember the last time I took the car in for service at another dealership they had a board with all the costs on it.

Believe me it wasn't pleasant reading!

try phoning round lyndon if you have more than one dealer you can use - that's how i got the 3 different prices.

the cheapest one was the usual dealer and it's only 3 miles from my house :-) - not the zoo :P

Had a quick look in the service manual and there was no mention of the brake fluid flush. Might be worth getting a second opinion on that one espeically since it costs £50!!!

I am waiting for the monkeys to call me back with regards to my first service.
I am going to try my luck with them price matching these quotes online as I have been quoted between £140 and £190.
Will keep you posted. (If they ever call me back!)

The other thing is my two local dealers will not come and pick the car up and drop it back once complete (even though they will sell me a car) but the dealer 30 miles away will free of charge!!!

Hooray!
I managed to price match with the monkeys and they have said they will give the service to me at £126 (as I said I had got that price from another garage) (Thanks Lyndon!)
Quite chuffed with that considering I could have paid £190 and even £206 like Ben did.
Now all I need is something to go wrong!
So................. SHOP AROUND!
