What's the best way to wash your CC ?

What's the perfect way to wash your CC. I have noticed that the painting on CC is very sensitive. I'm thinking that i'm too rough of cleaning the car.
Here's what i do:
First i rinse out the car with water. Then i brush the car. I have two kinds of brushes (one softer for upper parts of the car and one rougher for wheels and arches. Then i wash the car with soft sponge and use a lot of water to rinse. And finally i dry the car with chamois.
I use only Autoglym-products.
Now i think if i going to use a jetwasher instead of those brushes.
Here in Finland the roads are salty in winter (they use salt that roads aren't so slippery). And that salt is pretty difficult to get out of metal.
But hey, tell what's your procedure of cleaning the car.

1. Clean wheels (varying levels of intensity ranging from just cleaning with brush, up to removing and full Wonder Wheels treatment)
2. Clean arches with brush
3. Rinse car
4. Sponge with Autoglym car shampoo
5. Rinse
6. Sponge with Diamond Brite shampoo (*)
7. Rinse
8. Sponge with Diamond Brite conserver (once a month) (*)
9. Rinse
10. Dry with squeegee
11. Dry with chamois
12. Buff with cloth
13. Polish with Colour Magic (occasionally)

(*) Only really applies if you've had Diamond Brite treatment, of course

Brushes go nowhere near my paintwork.

I just jetwash it at the very local petrol station, once it's done i nip back home to get a bucket of clean water and a chamois to dry the car with, rinsing the chamois as and when it needs it.

After thats all done i use a old chamois to clean the wheels and the chrome exhaust tail pipe, wait a few minutes then spray the tyres with 'Tyre Slik' spray to give them that new/wet look, job done

I sometimes also use 'Autoglym vinyl and rubber care' on the black plastic bump strips/wing mirror covers if and when they need it, also on the rubber seals around the side windows to get rid of any water marks

Personally I only wash mine in Volvic spring water (still, not sparkling) that's heated to 10 degree above the ambient temperature and sprayed as a fine mist over the car. I then use Loreal car care products (because she's worth it!) to remove any city grime, followed by a conditioner, followed by another spray. Finally it's dried off by some chamois bikinni clad top heavy ladies working their booties over the bodyworked (you might like to be inside the car while this occurs).

OK, mines new and I've yet to clean it but this idea has it's merits don't you think? Apparently (or is that allegedly) there are women in London that will perform this service for a fee!?

I'm going to bring a diamond coating on my car also next week. Is that a good thing to do? I mean is it worth it?

I also got the advice of using a washing glove instead of a brush or a sponge. In both the others sand&dirt remains on them. When you use a washing glove the sand/dirt is rinsed of. and you can put it in the washing machine when it still is dirty.

1. rinse car with hose to remove grit / dirt etc..
2. spray any dead insect areas and mirrors with bug blaster
3. wash with quality car shampoo using sponge (new one everytime)
4. wash body work
5. then wheels using an alloy wheel cleaner
6. wash arches and bottom of sills
7. put sponge in bin
8. remove any tar spots with autoglym tar remover
9. rinse car with hose
10. dry with squeegee
11. finish drying with chamois
12. open doors and try bottom and inside sills with spamspam towel
13. dry tyres and alloys with spamspam towel
14. spray tyres with tyre silk

above is a standard clean and takes about 1.5hrs on average

I find the best way to keep mine clean is to take the jet wash out of the garage, move the car futher down the drive, take husband ugly volvo estate shopping come back and the faries have cleaned it, not sure what's involved. Magic I think

I've been to Rovaneimi...(Lapland) I remember it cus i was there one weekend and in Fairbanks, Alaska the following weekend. This is memorable because if as a kid you write a letter to Father Christmas and address it: Santa Claus, The North Pole, it will either get delivered to Rovaneimi or Fairbanks as they are the two "unofficial" homes of the big guy. It was expensive to get drunk in Rovaneimi and not expensive to get drunk in Fairbanks...although the 24 hour daylight in Alaska screws with your head when its 4am and sunshiney...
