Can anyone help out with some info regarding rejecting your car????
I picked up my 1.6s on Friday and by monday the starter motor had packed in.
I have no confidence in the car at all now.
I don't know if I should have it repaired, another car ordered or take my cash and run!!!!!..................any advice???

if rejecting i would take a replacement. my 12wk old SE was rejected on 22/2/02 and i got my replacement on 20/3/02. after driving with the roof down for the first time yesterday i wouldn't be keen on giving it up.

derek

p.s. at replacement i was also offered a full cash refund but took the replacement at a £300 cost.

Cowdie,

It's a standard cost where you are paying for the use you have had of the car - technically called a hire charge.

The original offer was £600 but a bit of haggling got that halved. I had done 2700 miles in the CC and a futher 3000 miles in courtesy cars i had the use of so £300 wasn't bad. It also meant i gained as the original car was a 51 reg and the replacement was 02 reg so overall i now have a car which is worth considerably more

Before you post a message, Cowdie, search to see if the information is already on the forum. Rejection has been discussed at length so you should find plenty of information, saves Rob and Derek repeating their life stories!

Cowdie my car died after 21.5 miles, The battery shorted through the starter motor and it took Peugeot 3 weeks to replace it, it then got a leaky roof which with a little self manipulation fixed itself.
Now I would not be without it, I love it with the roof down and fingers crossed these teething troubles are fine, now done just over 1000 miles and the sun will shine for the next 3 days, I love the 206CC

Do you really have to tell everyone about your self-manipulation?

Hi Will, You've only done 1000 miles since we picked them up a few hours apart?????? I've done 4,000. Ooops, i just can't stop driving it.

Even when we went to buy a cooker (yes...) we went in the CC until we found and paid for the cooker then went home and got the sensible car and drove back to collect it. I dunno... it's like a drug, man, and I'm hooked

You have got to remember that it was sat in a Peugeot garage for 3 weeks and then I went to South Africa for a month and they would not let me take it on the plane.
This weekend I intend to change all that, the weather looks brill.
Time to go and drive.
Hopefully yours is running like a dream.
