Has anyone else had this new 'feature' added by their friendly local Peugeot dealer. As part of my many problems, last week I had the computer unit replaced (BSI unit ???). As part of this process, Peugeot downloaded the latest software for it but didn't really look what was in it. I discovered as soon as I got on to the motorway at 5.30 yesterday morning, that the new feature I had was a very loud alarm (similar (identical?) to the door open alarm) going off as soon as I hit 75mph. At first I had no idea what this was and only worked it out when the alarm stopped when I slowed down. OK, nobody ever exceeds 70mph as that would be illegal ..... I contacted Peugeot who THINK this can be disabled but need to check it out today - are there any more new features out there I have yet to discover.???

i wouldn't be amused at getting that - the noise would be pretty much constant

I would demand it be removed immediately. Although the national speed limit is 70, there is no speed limit on private property. Admittedly, not many of us have a racetrack in our back garden, but think about private airfields etc. Also, what happens if you pop over to Germany for a couple of weeks.

Actually, I'm used to it. My Fiesta has a similar 'feature'. There's a minute gap in the windscreen seal somewhere above the mirror. Depending on what mood it's in, it starts whistling at me above around 80 mph.

Yes you can defeat it
my dealer did that for me as a gift!
as soon as i hit 120Km/s it starts beeping
you can defeat it from the peugeot pc the hook up to the car to know of faults etc
and he also added that the right hand drive front window now has the auto raise feature
i just tap it once and it goes all the way up
so now i can raise the 2 front ones just by tapping both buttons
