Today I put my car into the dealers to have a fault looked at (a 'clunk' sound when I put my foot on the brake), and was told there wasn't any thing wrong with the car (no change there then). BUT.....

The nice lady on the desk told me that soon there is going to be a product recall regarding the brakes! Don't know if it's to do with the brake squeal, perhaps Peugeot are finally going admit that there is a problem after all! One can only hope!

Here's hoping for a summer of squeal free motoring..

i know this will get deleted as lyndon is working on the forum but my CC was in today for the break squeal.

they put a compound on the brakes which is supposed to stop the squealing. working the now which is something.

it isnt copper grease but looks like a grey/silver paste.

 i sure hope so!

btw they grey paste doesn't work for more then 2 weeks either i heard at my garage! They are now contacting peugeot for more info about my (eh... our) problem. Grooved discs might work, but aren't supplied by the dealer they said...
