Does anyone else agree with me that the CC horn is a pathetic little pooper? Other road users inlcuding pedestians just laugh when I use it (and then laugh even more when I have to jam on the brakes and they hear the squeaking)

I plan to fit a second horn if possible - I think there's room but getting access to the right front of the engine compartment may be a problem. Anyone else tried this? :?:

this was covered when the car first came out and me & Lyndon were embarrassed by the noise.

The best options for a horn are

Montego
Alfa 156

now dont laugh, the montego horn may sound like a joke now, but you use it and people get out the way. Also they should be cheap as they are such old stock in motor shops :) I can vouch for it having owned a montego and nearly made some one crash when I pipped at them 8)

With the Montego horn does it just replace the existing horn or is it installed with it's own separate switch? :D

You want a "Dukes of Hazzard" horn!

I don't know what you guys are talking about, the Aussie 2002 model that I have has a ballsy horn, sounds a lot tougher than both of my 4WDs.

I would just replace the existing horn.

you could even run them in parallel good noise alongside a small squeak :)

If our pug's horn is pathetic, what VW beetle owners would say for theirs!
Haven't anyone ever heard it??
I'm not pleased for ours as well, but what can you do knowing that there is no space left for a better one :?:
