OK, silly question. On the right of the tank is what looks like a long piece of wood strapped to it's side (think telegraph pole). Now I've seen the same on old tanks. What's it for? Traction incase it grounds out (I don't think taking the drivers mats out is going to help in this case)?

I could be wrong but i believe this is a roll of IR reflective material that can be draped around the tanks heat source (ie engine) so that it can be shielded from anyone looking at it thru a night-sight. (It stops a huge green glow being emanated) I forget the technical term for it though... :|
