Observations

1. Julia vary kindly offered to pick Greg up at his house. Pauline and Steve followed.

2. Julia, Pauline and Steve found out I live nowhere near the direct route from Bracknell to Swindon.

3. Steve bought beer!

4. Greg and Steve started drinking beer.

5. After getting bored of the magnolia walls in my house, we all set off for Swindon.

6. I unfortunately didn't get Julia topless, although she did offer.

7. We found Pauls house no problem.

8. I can confirm the rumour that Pauls local pub "The Manor" is not very local.

9. Its bloody miles away from where he lives.

10. Me, Julia, Pauline and Steve were all desperate for a wee.

11. Paul wasn't in.

12. His garden very nearly got watered.

13. He arrived home JUST in time.

14. Paul has a very nice house.

15. It smells of paint.

16. Paint fumes and lager make me high.

17. We got hungry and went to Frankie and Bennys restaurant.

18. The poor waitress didn't know what had hit her...

19. We told her we were swingers. Me and Julia were married, as were Paul and Amanda. Pauline unfortunately had to stick with Steve.

20. We had an outbreak of Tourettes syndrome in the busy restaurant.

21. A group of girls from www.mingers.com arrived for their AGM

22. We decided to pay up and try and catch the last 30 mins of the England match.

23. Paul took us to a pub called "The Spotted Cow"

24. It is a gay pub.

25. VERY gay.

26. I introduced Steve to the delights of the Turbo Shandy. Mmmmm

27. England were shite against Lichenstein, at least the bit we saw.

28. Julia quite likes Kieron Dyer.

29. Yuk!

30. We left to go to the ice-rink.

31. Julia spent the next couple of hours holding onto Greg. He can't skate very well.

32. Greg enjoyed holding onto Julia (great choice of activity Paul! ;) )

33. Paul can skate backwards. Showoff.

34. Greg fell over 3 times, Julia once, Paul once. Ha!

35. Greg has hurt his neck. Ouch!

36. We left to go home.

37. Pauline INSISTED on following Julia back to my house "cus shes crap with directions"

38. Not because Pauline thinks I'm a sex-pest.

39. Which I am.

40. We got to my house and had another beer.

41. Julia saw my lego collection and didn't laugh.

42. Steve admired my helmet.

43. Pauline and Steve and Julia went home.

44. Julia got bored quickly... ;)

45. They all made it home safely.

46. I had a FANTASTIC day.

47. Thanks to Julia, Pauline, Steve, Amanda and Paul.

48. You're all cool.

49. Hope to meet again sometime soon.

50. Internet friends...Oh the shame of it!!!

I had a really good day too. VERY long day which included stopping at 1am on the way home to get caffeine fix coz Pauline and I were nodding asleep almost!
Then we realised (thanks Greg) that we had just lost an hour as the clocks went forward.
I am going to hibernate when my phone bill comes through ;)
The cheesy disco at the ice rink was hilarious! Greg found some new friends. I think the eldest was 12! Oh and they could ALL skate better than him (but they didnt have someone to hold onto! ;) )
Oh and for the record I asked 3 times if Greg wanted to go topless and he said no!

I think the bullet points make it easier to understand the absolute craziness of our day! I hurt from laughing so much! I feel so sorry for the waitress in the restaurant. She didnt know what to think! Oh and as for the queue of people outside HSBC waiting to use the cash point when Steve put in the WRONG card! (Not forgetting Greg walking into the big bollard outside!)

Good luck to anyone that meets us lot on a day out!!!

I missed quite a bit out Derek, but as they say "discretion is the better part of valour" (or something...) S'ppose you lot will have to use your mucky little minds to fill in the gaps! ;)

As for Mr Awol:

1. How dare you suggest I talk in bullet points in real life.

2. This is a lie as anyone who knows me will vouch.

3. Please stop spreading such malicious gossip.

4. That's all.

5. Oh yeah...what is your real name? :?:

To Pauline....
I'm glad you were impressed with my skating skills, that cocky kid called Wayne wasn't quite so cocky after i bet him a fiver i could fall over more times than him...Julia watched in awe and admiration as i challenged the youth of Swindon in their own backyard. And not one was willing to rise to the challenge...!
