The endurance races you have a team and swap drivers in pit stops so you only drive part of the race! Because there's less swapping than "heat racing" you get more time on the track. Milton Keynes Datonya does it on a Saturday for £130 pounds per team of 5 with 20 minutes practice and a 2 hour race (Daytona 200). Anyway, both heat racing and endurance has it's merits.

I think the important thing would be to decide on Location and Time first. I'm guessing if it's the weekend then people will find it easier to get to but maybe have other plans. Perhaps if we were to come up with a date a month in advance. Location - I don't mind traveling to Swindon but Milton Keynes is not that much different and I wondered if it would tempt people down from the midlands? Having said that it seems like a loyal bunch of people attend from the M4 corridor so maybe stick with that area?

I guess it's up to people to say if they'd come or not?

Last time I organised one of these, I had to book about 2 months in advance and pay a hefty deposit.
Although everyone paid up, some left it till race day to pay me leaving a big hole in my finances for those couple of months.
I sure everyone here can be trusted but be prepared to pay your part of any deposit, to whever organises it, once a date is set.

My choice for location is Rye House, Hoddesdon for outdoor or Rayleigh for indoor, just to get the Herts and Essex people started.

Might be a silly question but what happens when it rains at an outdoor event (will I be able to pit for wet tyres? :)). As in does racing continue and we just get wet? Cheers

greg the one by the outbreak cneter was winners and it moved up to woughton .. been up there a few times for gp and endurance style races ... very good espally as they have new karts recently that goe like stink.

it's indoors and a very good track, new surface has just been layed so it's lots of traction.

I would have liked to be there but I only came out of hospital today having had a minor op on my hand - im'm aching to go out driving again soon
Just got feeling back in my left hand now :) (can type faster) Had a wart-type growth removed from my left wrist and had to have 4 stitches in the resulting hole in my hand Ouch. Took the pug out today for a blast to see if I could drive it(roof down of course). Back to work tomorrow
