Hey guys just wandering, because i'm going to change my light into a xenon Lights Bulb. Is the two bulb (low beam & high beam) are using H7 as well? As i read on the manual it says H7 55W, but if i put H7 100W will it still work?
Cheers

I've just changed both with a 4500k 55W white bulb. Both are H7s, but i think you should put in a 55W bulb into the main light, and the high beam can be 100W if you want as you won't be using that light constantly.

What I've found with higher power bulbs is they get too hot for the headlight hence causing tiny cracks in the plastic headlight cover. That's what happened to my old Toyota Echo.

omak is right, i changed mine about 10 months ago, i used on both hi and low beams the 55w, just in case, i´ll get a real nice light at night and i don´t have to worry about having my electric installation to get overheated... hope this works.
cheers
juan :)

actually i had the 100w ones fitted to both low and main for the first 6 months i had the car and no problems. The front fog lights if i put the 100watt ones get burnt out too quickly, i think they overheat, so i use 55w for them.
now i installed a xenon system
which rocks!
now when i travel i adjust the headlight level and i aim them very high
they light up the whole road and i can see much further

I had the 100w bulbs in my Echo (Yaris) for 3 years (several replacements of course) so it's long-term use that damages the lens cover.

Whic Xenon light kit did you buy? Philips? Did you install it yourself?

Should the headlights be normally set at Zero on the height adjuster?

yeah i got the phillips kit
i did install it myself, not too hard
you just take the standard plug that goes to the standard bulb
plug it into the input of the ballast (special part required to raise the standard 12 volts to 25,000 volts!)and from there a special cable goes to the xenon plug
they are supposed to be set at 0 but after i installed it i realised they were not too high
so now i usually have it on the lowest setting for normal road use
and i raise then to a much higher level when i travel since i live in egypt and the highways between cities are surrounded by desert so no chance of blidning anyone, but they really are much better than the standard lights
only mistake i made was i got the 4100K version
this is white light with a touch of yellow
the 6000K is the nice blue tinted one
although mine supposedly gives off more light
and xenon also uses less power than standard lights, so it's environmentally friendly
:D

I'm not sure if it's just the bulb that I've installed (a 'white' W5W) or is it the quality of the actual highlight. I've noticed after 3 weeks of changing the bulb that the reflector around the parking light bulb has MELTED!! and the plastic light cover has become smokey!! - signs of overheating from the bulb.
