I still must buy myself an alarm for my CC...
My insurance company doesn't require an alarm for a CC
A normal alarm is enough for me i think.

But there is an alarm with a carjacking protection. You keep a special card somewhere alse from your keys and wallet. When they drive away with your car, after a few hundreds of meters the car starts flashing/bepping and slowing down. You are at a safe distance and the thieves can't drive away with your car...

Oh yes, what are deadlocks exactly?

Round here there's more chance of them banging on your door and demanding the keys, breaking in at night for the keys, or fishing them through the letter box.

The deadlocks stop the doors being opened from the inside or outside without the fob. It just means if someone smashes a window to steal something, they can't then open the door; they have to work through the broken window.

It should be there as standard. Most cars in the UK of a reasonable level will have this as new and probably back as far as 1997 now. Just lock the car with the windows down and see if you can pull the stoppers up :)

Hmm... I was able to pull them up just barely touching them...
Not good huh? :(

Maybe it's not a feature in Holland :( Did you press the remote <LOCK> button once, or twice?

I must admit I've never tried on my car, just assumed.. will try it and get back to you!

Have you tried acutally opening the door though? I'm pretty sure you can pull the pins up but they don't unlock the door if deadlocks are active.

Yes, the doors can be opened when i pull the pins up... On the passengers side also. When i pull the pin up, it's just like opening it with my key.

Deadlocks aren't active then. When my deadlocks are on, I can't open the doors from the inside or outside whether the pins are up or down.
