The funniest tree hugger comment i heard was the idiot who said "over a million people have already been killed by sanctions! They should have given saddam more time"

What a T**T!if the soft approach is killing more people than a war is likely to - then why not go in?

Also the people who say that the people arent behind the war piss me off - the majority swung to yeas late last week!

Well personally (putting on my flame resistant gear) I would only be for the conflict if it had the backing of the various parties in the UN.

Having said that this is all about politics and nothing in politics is black and white. Maybe the documents that Tony see's does show a real need to "go in". All I can only hope that it's over quickly with the minimum amount of casualties.

Hang on- wasn't it the UN who stopped the Gulf war in the 90's??

So effectively the UN let Sadam kill and toture his own people... Nice!

Plus when both France and Russia had interests in keeping Sadam in power (i.e. oil contracts), should they have been able to vote?
Surely conflict of interests meant that the UN could never have been effective in this situation.

What i don't understand is what the UN have been doing for the last 12 years in regards to finding out what weapons Iraq had, they were supposed to make sure he follow UN weapons rulings but they have no idea at all of what he has or how much,

Sorry Greg but I seem to be the only one arguing against and to honest I'm not too fussed.

As I said hopefully it will be over quickly with the minimum amount of people killed on both sides. I also hope Turkey isn't going to get too involved and things get complicated. Cheers

i am speaking in the point of view of a evolutionist, so all you creationist dont need to argue against this point.

oki, us humans are soft, fragile, weak, no hard armour skin, no poisonous spike or fangs, no horns, no claws no natural defense what so ever and yet over millions of year we evolve to be the most advance species on the planet... what does that say about us? let face it we thrive on conflict, look at the way we live, in education , career, even in religious order, we try to fight our way to the top, even if we are at the top we still fight to to stay that way. I dont think we can ever be at peace, we always have something to fight about.

(Not just human by the way, every species on the planet work the same way, all the way down to the level of bacteria and viruses, always fighting always trying to be better then the one next to it, only when they stop fighting they die out)

all i am hoping for is that i can give just enough resistant to live a full live

end of rambling.. ;)
