Parking in Newcastle

Off to see the mighty magpies in action against Barcelona on Wednesday.

I'm gonna drive it for the first time (all 267 miles of it!)

Anyone local to Newcastle know any good places to park?

U a newcastle fan?
You will have to get ere early not much parking spaces close to St James, for Â£1.50/hour u can park in Odeon Underground Carpark, which is v close to St James. Also good sercurity facilities, so ur beloved cc wud be nice n safe.

Alternativly, a cheap option also a fair walk (bout 10 mins) is car park next to university of northumbria in Newcastle city centre.

Yeah, been a magpie since the age of 3. But it's a long trip up from the south!

Thought I'd drive it this time.

I'm thinking of staying overnight in a hotel but most of the ones in Newcastle are booked up. And they are quoting Â£15 for a taxi ride to the stadium each way from the ones on the outskirts!

Hello there

I work next to St james so know what the place can be like during a match day. A word of advice, don't park anywhere near the stadium unless you want to take an lifetime to get out. Best bet is to park further away and walk with the rest of the fans.

Recently my cousin were leaving town after the arsenal game and got stuck in the crowds. A pissed bunch of arsole fans starting kicking his car and dented soem of the panels.

actually col is right.. parking too close to St James will cause problems...
if i see ur cc around i give u a massive wave then!
