I just looked and noticed my cars covered over 6.5k miles in the space of only 14 weeks, is this a record? if so I must be a martyr to the
cause

Pah!
I imported the Scoob from new (22 Dec 1999, IIRC), registered around 8 Jan 2000 and by 2 Jan 2001 it needed its 30k service

I've had mine for 3 weeks now and I've done 2100 km, which is about 4600 miles.

My 1.1 106 i had a few years back covered 83,000 miles in the 2.5 years i had it - not a single problem with it either.
Somehow i dont think the cc will be lasting that long without hassle
Actually the 106 did have the flexipipe which connects the engine to exhaust replaced after a year, because it was rusty - but that was it

In my 106 I was good with the mileage (had to be due to the stupid passprt scheme which limited me to 6k a year), in my 206 I went wild and clocked up over 1k every month. In my CC though I am being quite good and am averaging about 890 miles per month (and I have had it 2 and a half).

In my 106 i had promised peugeot p[assport (and the insurance company - whoops) that i would only do 12,000 miles a year, so 83,000 in two and a half left me with a car worth about £500 (needing full service, cambelt, 4 tyres, new pads/discs and a lot of bodywork repair) and £2800 outstanding on finance!
Luckily the salesman i know gave me a whopping £2880 for the 106 (although this meant i got no 'extra' discount off the new car) So i had a total £80 in deposit for my 206 hatch!
I was actually looking at an astra, but couldnt afford to lose £2380 on the trade in of my 106!
