I raced a Scooby.
It looked like a turbo, but if I beat it then it was obviously not. It had some bass head phat boy driving with his little mate. I could almost see them lip read those original "hairdresser" comments in my rear view mirror. They past me once as I thought, not a chance. Changed my mind
got nothing to loose in trying and read the road just right and got past-em.
An Accord type R also had a go and failed. Poor diving skills. But made me feel oh so good about my lil Pug.
To end on a sad point (if this isn’t sad already) I underestimated one on those baby Mercs. A190 I think. I really wasn’t prepared at those traffic lights and was too ashamed to even try and race. Hmm perhaps that what the imprezza and Honda drivers thought.

I make a point of not racing boy racers. Occasionally though, I make an exception for suited company Mondeo and Vectra drivers.
I can see them glued to the back bumper as they think "its only a 2.0L SLK200 how fast can that be", and I'm not even in the fast lane of the motorway. What they don't realise is the cars weight ratio and the supercharger under the bonnet, a press on the accelerator invariably demotes them to a dot in the distance of the rear view mirror.
Robbie.
