Internet Clutter Grrrrr!

I notice when my daughter comes to stay at weekends and clics on the BBC kiddy sites etc she leaves me with a computer full of cookies, spyware and altered browser and home pages.

It took me several hours to clean em off last time. I had to use Adware 6.0 to kill off the spyware an eventually found the altered browsers home page to clic on the remove program (which incidently was the only way to get rid of the altered Internet Explorer browser after all my attempts failed).

I notice her own computer I bought her last year won't even run programes anymore cos of the clutter rubbish and God knows what she inadvertantly downloaded off the internet from these kids sites. Couldn't even load 2003 Norton Utilities/Anti Virus for her, gonna have to get her PC professionally cleaned up me thinks.

Anyone experience these sort of problems? An are there any solutions apart from asking her to stop downloading evrything an anything.

There are various programs that stop this sort of thing... unfortunately I've never had to use any of them as I'm very careful what I click on (I develop web sites so know all the tricks!) so I can't recommend any first hand, and I've got a feeling that most stuff you'll find won't be free

However, a google search on "block popup" brings up plenty for you to sift through!
