Newbie - Bought new 206CC 2.0

Hello Guys/Gals.

I have just got off the phone with my local Peugoet Dealer here in Bournemouth and they have started to get my car ready for next week.

I have a few questions for you experienced lot which Im hopeing somebody could answer please.

1. I have a Kenwood Stereo and Amp from my old Citroen AXGT which I would love to transfer to my new car. Is this possible? Does the 206cc allow this ? 2in1 questions (cheeky I know)

2. When you buy I new car. Is it true that you should run in the engine for a certain distance before belting it up the motorway (at 70mph) ?

3. I Added as extras to the car: arches and grill. Does anybody have a picture with the arches and grill please?

4. Now, don't get me wrong, I love this car and Im a bloke but I keep getting this funny feeling that a girl should be driving it, not me (does that make any sense)?

Welcome to the world of the CC

1. not sure as yours will be a multi-plexing model where as mines one of the first ones and is just normal

2. some people have said wait till the engine oil is at the right temp (about 90) then floor/redline it in ever gear !!!! or don't do more than 4000revs for the first few hundred miles then cane it only when the oil temp is right.

it's your car so treat it how you like

3. goto the main site click on owners, scroll through them all and see whos got pictures with the grill and archs

4. you get looks if your male/female it's just the CC it always gets envious looks from everyone and there's more blokes than women that own a CC

looks like Lyndon just pipped me to it, he must be on form tonight

2. Two schools of thought. First is that it won't really matter cos the engine is already been bench run. The second which I subscribe to is that the engine being new is settling down and it is best to keep it to 70mph and within 4,000rpm (no redlining) for the first 1,000 miles and to vary your speeds. After that gradually increasing your speed.

I also like to change the oil after the first 1000 miles because there is bound to be small iron filings coming off the new engine components within that distance.

4. I never got that feeling its a girls car either in the CC or the SLK that I now drive, and I'm 6'4"

I thought of that but just stuck to 500 miles at below 4 grand. Then I thought I'd do an oil and filter change but never bothered and 16,500 miles later, it's still fantastic

it has cost a fair bit so far but it isn't a boykit, just a few select extra's

didn't get it on the cheap - ignore carl

just got the rear spoiler to add when i have the time to get it fitted
