Well talk about a spontaneous decision... I bought a new car today. It's great except for the following problems:

1. Doesn't go very fast
2. No sound system
3. Ecosse don't do chrome hoops for it
4. Bit of a squeeze to get in.

Apart from these minor issues, it's great!!! I took a pic of it earlier:

I got it from some quaint little toy shop in Helmesley, North York Dales for £3.99. Oh and if you pull it back & let go it goes forward on its own! Not exactly 138BHP thou

They can't be Erm's wheels - these ones are round!!

Matt,

I was in the Helmsley on Saturday night. The Royal Oak! Came back down Sutton Bank. Now that has got to be the scariest road EVER in the world at midnight in the fog and not a clue what the road is like. My knees went to jelly when I saw the sign 25%!!! Select a low gear - not kidding. Went up the other way through Sutton on Forest so avoided the hill. Which way did you go?

Sounds like me when i got my cc - i only went to the shell garage for a bottle of coke, since it was so hot. Then i thought since i was there i would see if they had any 2nd hand XSi's, then a 2nd hand cc caught my eye, so i went through all the figures on that, then i went into the showroom to ask my mate if he could discount the 2nd hand one any, and he said no, but you can have a brand new one with alloys and leather for the same price!

Expensive bottle of coke - or it would have been but i FORGOT TO BUY THAT!!!!!

Ah I remember seeing that pub - freaky coincidence!!

We drove there & back from York (with the top down!) - and yes I think I know that hill - is it the one with the mad bend halfway down quite near to Helmsley? We did it during the day so could see things fine - wouldn't like to do it when you did though!

We did the B1363 all the way there from York, but took a detour on the way back along some tiny windy road through some mad middle-of-nowhere villages!

Sounds like me when i got my cc...
I know that feeling, quite similar t owhen I bought my real CC. I'd wanted one for a while and heard that my sister was getting one. So one bored, rather hungover Sunday I passed by Autopoint in Bradford to have a look at a CC.

The sales guy there was the most moserable git I'd ever met, so I left very soon and went over to MSF in Leeds. They had one there and I took it for a test drive immediately and loved it. The sales girl then told me that there was 3 grand off (which brought it down to the same rice as imported ones from Autpoint) for another week or so and they didn't expect to have a similar offer again (yeah I know it's all sales speak, but I was hungover!!).

I had a good think and went in on Monday evning to sign the order papers! I then picked up the car that Friday. Excellent!

Having said that, i immediately went round to a mate's and she had picked up her SE the week before, so she let me have a blast in that :D

Hey I've got one of those too but mine goes one step further, it has a big remote control key and aside from going forwards and backwards at a scary angle like your tracking is out, if you press another button the roof comes down!
