they fixed the squeek and said they wont fix them again under waranty .. but im still hearing a clunk when I stop .. maybe its not the breaks?
they failed to find anything wrong wiht my engine cut out problems on cold starts.. which is intermitent....
i dont like that service manager....heh
err .. !! honestly im beginning to think im a pain! but something definately clunks when I stop !
Im not happy about this break issue ... i think a letter to peugeot is in order really cos i know its only gonna last a month if im lucky... and as i sound like a bus its embarrasing.
Im not overly happy really .. about the breaks and clunk.. maybe ill ask them to hear it..... whilst i drive.

I had the clunking so badly it sounded like something was snapping everytime i stopped, and i could hear it over the stereo. KAP in Folkestone fixed it (kind of) which is the only good thing they did do for me! They replaced a suspension bit and then insulated something - i will ask them if they can give me a job card print and i will post their description up here if it is helpful - they might not want to help me since the lady at service's husband runs the bodyshop bit, and Pug UK have just faxed KAP with a hefty complaint about the bodyshop.
Nice as it was to have the big boss of KAP on the phone trying his hardest to get me to let them clean my car, i will not be leaving it with them unattended, thats for sure.
By the way i still get the occasional clunk, but it's really quiet

Im so sick of that dealer im ringing peugeot, not sure what kind of response ill get or what action theymight take.... but clunky breaks are not normal, nevermind the squeekyness ! and my fight sometimes to keep the engine running first thing in a morning as I reverse out of my drive !

I have a theory, my brakes stick, which causes the clunk ... which in turn becasue they are sticking they are producing way more brake dust than usual ... causing the squeek/screaming.
I could be talking utter
though, but I did not give myself lots of money to fix the problem did I
Anyway, I rang peugeot today to enhance my complaint, they are in contact with the dealer apparently ....

Mr_AWOL, you know the clunk, when did it do it? Mine seems to clunk just before I physically stop ...... I just don't know .. it didnt actually do it today typical seen as ive bitched directly to customer relations @ peugeot.

It was only at speeds <40mph generally, and was just as you initially touch the brake, thats why my first though was that something needed tightening up. They replaced some suspension bit, then filled it with insulation (probably foam filler knowing Pug) or something like that. I will try to find out
