I took my car to the monkeys today to give them one more chance to fix the ongoing problems with my car (thanks to the advice from Derek and Eye See) before I reject it.

It went in to get the seals re done (for the second time), break squeek and clank sorted etc.

They couldn't do the seals, and they heard the clanking noise from the breaks, but couldn't find the cause! It's going in again in a couple of weeks to get sorted... Or so they think...

Less than 1 mile after I picked the car up from the garage, I was driving home and I thought the hand break was on when I pulled away from some lights...wrong. I was in 1st gear, handbreak off, but the car wouldn't move. Called Pugeot assistance out and guess what - the clutch has gone!

Is this normal for a car of this age? I surely not!!! Anyone else had this problem?

very unusual i would say. i've had pugs with 13k, 19k, 31k, 44k, 31k, 2.5k and 14k so far with no clutch problems.

although it's more bad news, hopefully it will help your rejection case.
