I’ve had a 206cc for 10 months, been okay but had problems when the weather changed. Roof seals had leaked over the drivers side so when cornering water came in. This has been sorted, I hope, after 3 attempts. The major problem I have is with water being sucked in through the wheel arches and into the air filter, soaking it and the plugs. Almost wrecked my car twice. Still trying to resolve with Peugeot
and
I contacted you with a problem I had with water saturating my air filter and getting dragged into the plugs, ruining the plugs and the air filter. I just thought I’d let you know where I’m at with it just in case anyone else has problems. Given the past rainfall I doubt I’m the only one with a wet air filter. Don’t know whether the problem is related to UK market only given the fact that the air filter is located on the nearside of the car where most surface water collects and may well be located offside in Europe.
I’ve been battling some with Peugeot and the garage where I bought the car since I contacted you. Three air filters soaked and many attempts at drying them out. The garage has finally admitted there is a problem with water coming in around the wing into the filter box and they are currently trying to seal above and below to eradicate the problem. I’ve asked for a report on this and will let you know the outcome if this is of interest to you.
as anyone heard of this and/or can shed any light on the matter
