I had the morning off work today, so drove in to work at lunchtime with the top down as it's a really nice day up here (yes it does happen in Yorkshire!). Decided to stop off at a chippy on the way in to grab some food.

As I approached the chippy there was a white van parked outside it, so I parked in front of the van on the main street, giving him plenty of room to pull out past me. As I got out the car I noticed that there were two scruffy lookin guys in the van (it was some builders merchant van), one of whom was drinking something like coffee or soup from a cup.

I went into the chippy and left the roof down, windows up as I could see it easily from the chippy. A minute later I looked back and saw the white van driving off, and the pasenger throwing his tomato soup at the corner of my car!!!!

LUCKILY nothing went inside the car, but I am obviously not best pleased. I really wish I could remember the company name that was on the van - in future I'll be taking photos of who's parked next to me!!!

Why do lowlifes have no respect for other people's pride & joy?

I always make a point of checking who I am parking next to, if it has bumps etc all over the car then I move elsewhere as they obviously can't respect their own things why should I expect them to respect mine.....

Its just pure jealousy that people do things like that....

like you say F'ING PEASANTS!!!

Trouble is the scruffs who threw soup over your car go thru life like that with no consideration for others, bit like what Stephen done with his virus link to Mvoong

When parking in a car park I show no consideration for others and park directly on the markings between 2 spaces . Seems to have worked though , no dents or scratches yet

Same here! I am really careful with this car as when I had my 206 a couple of times I was actually sat in it inthe car park and people opened the doors straight into mine. I went loopy!!

Now I make sure that I park completely on my own and if I have to park next to other cars I do the same as Alex!

I've seen that happen sooo many times to other cars parked in the car park, mostly women with children in old cars.

Mother arrives harassed - BANG children open car doors, BANG mother opens car door too, no attempt to inspect the damage, just trundles off to the supermarket without a backwards glance.

I've noticed a 2 inch scuff mark on my SLK door, obviously caused by someone who couldn't give a damn (hopefully it should polish out)

I make sure I park in the furthest corner of the car park in supermarkets. Women, kids and trolleys - lethal combination.

Why do they get special treatment with mother/brat parking spaces anyway?
Rain or shine - topless is fine!!

Glad to see the cc escaped matt - i must admit that i would have been quite tempted to jump in the car and make after them with the squeal of burning rubber!

Only two things give me road rage - people damaging or trying to damage my beloved cc (that includes mega tailgaters), and people who wont get out of the :censored: way!

First week i had my cc i was in the shell garage in canterbury with the roof down (one of the nicer september days) and some old tw4t came and parked behind me, blocking me in. I put the cc in reverse and he looked like he was gonna move outta the way but he left his dodgy old automatic in drive, so the car lurched towards mine. He even tried to laff it off when i gave hime the evils! (he wouldnt have been laughing if his car had made contact with mine tho)

I heard on the Benzworld.org forum about a brand new 32 AMG SLK stopped at the lights while the driver was horrified to notice a lady driver coming up behind at speed. It was a woman too busy yappping on the phone too bother braking her car in time before smashing into the back of his AMG SLK. The SLK driver was annoyed to put it mildly much to the woman drivers indifference.

I suggested a simpler solution in these sort of circumstances, just take out a contract on her
