Okay, so now the service manager says that squeeky brakes are not covered under waranty, but its not normal is it !! ?? Whats the offical line?

Im waiting for them to call me back now due to my engine management problems ... i.e. cant start and drive off without it stalling on cold mornings ... and the rev counter going loopy .. . even though the accelerator isnt pressed.

Grrrrr,,,, and im having a BAD day !!! so i called at the right time ...

they want to get a peugoet person to look at it in person, or at least remotely if cannot get it in on time.

they've agreed to fix them again .... and have the master technician look at the engine management problem.

Im concinved, as ive been there that much that everytime i see the handwriting of one mechanic who has supsosedly fixed faults, then I
know that they are not fixed ...

You know .. they not only know my name from my face ... but when I call them too ... they recognise my voice ... how tragic is this ??

Bruddy car ! Heh.

The 'official' line (from Pug UK) is that there's no 'official' line. It's up to the individual dealer.

I was speaking to PUG UK yesterday over a different matter and the nice young girl on the other end of the phone (taking lessons from erm in stalking) stated that anything that could affect the safety of the car should be checked out and fixed without question, either by the dealer or a master technician from PUG UK. I asked if any brake problems should be included as brakes are obviously vital to your saftey and she said, 'Yes, anything to do with the brakes should be rectified, without question!'

Presume then that squeaky brakes should come under this catergory as it is the brakes! Who is to say the squeak is not a fault in the brake pad which could affect your braking at some point!

I tried this a while back and the service I got was great, get your car in tomorrow, we will see it it immediately!

interesting...

I got told by my dealer there not covered by the warranty also, but my line was "to say how many problems I have had and the car being off the road for so long I think you will do it as a goodwill gesture....

that seemed to do the job

They also swapped my front and rear tyres over and repaired a puncture foc

little things I know but its all part of receiving a good service...

Check the website...

its great how much dealers roll over when you get PUG UK involved...

an interesting fact I found out was out of the 360 or so dealers last year that dealt in Pug cars, PUG UK revoked the dealership of 50 of them at the end of the year.....

Thats 1 in 7 are so cr*p even PUG UK say 'forget it!'

So even Pug know they have a problem!

i looked on the pug web site before didnt see anything will look again ...
as for dealships being pulled .... there is alot going on over the last 10 years of the big cats swallowing up the smaller ones .. this could be effecting your stats .....

i unfortunately have experience of this as the rest of my family work or worked in the motor trade.
