Hi

As the subject says has anyone had a BLACK CC colour coded, Im in 2 minds to have it done or not.

Looking at pictures of people who have had it done on other colour CC 's it looks the biz, but not really sure if its worth doing as the bumpers are black already.

If you have had it done do you have any pictures also?

Colour coding - bumpers, side strips and wing mirrors.

Thanks

I don't see how it's worth it, personally.

I put GT bumpers and coloured side strips on my black cc. You don't really notice it that much. Most people seem to know its not quite standard. If you are going to do t I would wait for the 180 gti to come out and go to the parts dep and ask for the relevent parts that are standard on said car.

Can I colour code then engine  :P

I assume the 180 is going to be fully colour coded, pictures i have seen so far it has black bumpers.

I suspect to buy the bumpers and the strips will be more expensive from pug (also i will be left with bumpers and strips spare) than popping it into a body shop and having originals sprayed. I will also have to fit them or pay to have them fitted (if I try doing it myself I will proabaly end up with a car in about 600 parts so good are my diy skills!)

It will be probably April time when I have it done if I can afford it, so I dont know if the 180 and spare parts will be out by then, if so i can compare prices.

Darth do you have pictures ?

Not sure about colour coding a 180 engine, but wouldn’t say no to 180bhp under my bonnet.

The only reason why I personally would wait is because at the motor show the 180bhp bumpers were color-coded. Sure you can colour code your originals, but I found the material of the side strips that I purchased from Peugeot (for the grand tourismo model) were already primed and were made of a different material and so I would be a bit concerned about spraying the plastic used on the standard bumpers I would think they would need to be sanded or filled first, plus I have seen 206's with colour coded bumpers and there was a colour/ texture difference, which didn’t look good. Probably depends on what body shop does it for you. I would also think they would be more prone to chipping.

As for pictures. I can send you some. I have had trouble sending pictures in the past due to the size I think. Not sure how you would like me to send them to you. If you give me your email address I will certainly have a go. Be warned I know more about cc's than pc's so bare with me.
