I know this should really be in the styling bit but I need as many people to see this as possible.

Have been speaking to Lockwood about creating a white dial that shines blue at night like the VW and after much friction they have agreed to do a run, if the sample looks OK that they will send me.

Prices would be

£27 ea if we got a run of 20
£21 ea for a run of 50

so is anyone interested so we could get a possible idea of numbers

If the sample is crap then we will scrap the idea, although I am speaking to someone else over this.

I'm interested but have to see what the quality like is first.

Also, have you got a multiplex model? It's just that I took apart the centre console to change the lighting there to blue as well but couldn't take apart the orange film from the glass. Is this stuck on? From the instructions given in the website below it looks easy but I had problems with it.

Thanks

Michael

I would be tmepted but, as everyone else says, would need to check out the quality and how easy it is to fit.

Anyone know if it's possible to change the colour of the climate control display?

Cool, hadn't noticed that!!!

On the same lines though, I notice that petrol last longer if you turn the key round anticlockwise in the ignition. Clever stuff!!

Best thing I can do then is when I get the sample is to send it on to the next person....an so on!

They have said that they may not get as brilliant blue as the VW but that could be recitified with using the brilliant blue LED's instead of the white ones we already have.

will keep you posted as this is still only a preliminary approach to them

You can change the climate controls from the following website:

http://www.ccfreun.de/bastelecke_klima_en.htm

All the instructions for fitting the speedo stuff are found here:

i changed the clock to blue in about 7 minutes using that website - it is extremely easy!!!

The orange file just pulls off the back of the glass. - It is excellent when the lights are off but it dims a lot when the lights are swtiched on - looks good though!

ps I would be interested in the blue dials

Is your car a multiplex model?

It's just that when I took it apart it looked like the orange film was glued onto the back. I don't want to be damaging it. Has anyone with a multiplex model changed the coloured film? Or is it just me being really stupid?
