My leasing company specifies what Kwik Fit are allowed to fit and so I have 2 Dunlop Sports on mine - Not having to pay for them myself, i have no idea whether these retail any cheaper than the goodyears.

So this policy doesn't allow the manufacturer's recommended brand to be fitted?

the goodyears are probably more expensive than the dunlop at kwik fit as they quoted me F1's at £124 each.

very amusing i thought

The other reason I wanted them to change the tyres round was to ensure I got even wear rates i.e. put both the new ones on the driven wheels
The problem with changing them round so they all wear the same, is that you have to replace them all at the same time, when they're worn out. Loadsamoney

what amazes me is that you all keep your cars long enough to need to buy new tyres

when you drive 20,000 miles a year normally then it isn't hard to need new tyres once in a while

I expect and usually get at least 50,000 miles out of a set of tyres.

OMG !

I have to get new tyres (yes, more of them.....) before the missus gets it next week (I'm slipping all over the place @ the moment !). I did the trawl yesterday and it seems that the Eagle F1's have gone up ! I purchased some last year for £85ish quid each, the cheapest I can find are now £95 and I need 4 ! even from the same dealership I had them done before, he cant (won't ?) match the price he sold me them for previously !

It seems that a couple of you have got them extremely cheaply, I would really appreciate it if you can PM me the details.
