Do these come as standard on the 2.0 SE? I've looked through loads of sites but none have confirmed it?

Thanks

Part of the visibility pack which is standard on the SE - I believe it's an option on the S but it's probably only a BSI upgrade anyway.

Thanks, is there anyway to tell by looking at the wipers or lights themselves to tell if the option is fitted or not?

Yep. If you put the auto wipers on the 'intermittent' position, the display will say "Automatic Wiping Active"

Nope...not without getting in the car...

Auto lights are activated by turning the ignition key one notch and then holding in the button on the end of the stalk on the steering column until a message appears on the control panel to the effect "Auto-lights activated".

As for autowipers, perhaps you can tell if they're fitted by looking for the sensor pad on the windscreen (on the other side of the rear view mirror) but I'm not certain....anyone?

One car i looked at seemed to be missing the usual large plastic cover that's normally fitted to the wipers so i wondered if that was the sensor???

Of course! That's it!

There's a sensor behind the interior mirror; there's no sensor on cars without the visibility pack.

So the plastic cover on the wiper itself is merely a cover?

yep...and its bloody ugly imho....i never liked the wiper action on my CC, i think it looks "stilted"...not as smooth as it could be in keeping with the rest of the car. :?

I think the auto wipers are a bit rubbish really .. i mean ... it never wipes when i need it too!! and it has no intermittent at all .... just auto, on, and on faster (good description eh heh). A 306 ive driven had the intermittent option too ... what where peugeot thinking .... they thought there auto wipers got good???

Odd - I've always been impressed by the auto wipers on my SE, they always seem to wipe at the right time. Very useful indeed for misty driving where intermitent is usually too fast and it's a pain having to manual wipe every minute or so.
