We have a really bad weather for the last 10 days in Greece and i have noticed that when the outside temperature is below 4C and when the ICE CAUTION message appears on the digital screen, the breaks become very hard. is there any sort of a problem with the breaks or they become harder in order to avoid any hard breaking that might be followed by a dangerous slip on the ice?

I have the impression that probably the car computer increases the pressure of the breaking fluid in order to avoid hard breaking, since the breaks are still very effective. When the temperature rises to 6-7 C the breakes become softer.

Anybody else has noticed that?
