Do any of you have problems when opening the boot of your 206cc? Mine is really stiff and I was just wondering if mine was the only one. The lock has now broke on it so I've had to book it in to be fixed.

 Hi 206 cc babe

Welcome to the problems forum

As many cc owners have found out (me included) you will probably be spending a lot of time in here. ;)

btw I have not had any problems opening my boot , only problems with switches indicating it being closed when it wasn't.

Keep us posted on your dealings with the monkeys . :) [/quote]

I had that problem it turns out the boot lock actuator (the motor that centrally locks the boot and what makes the whirring noise when you turn the key in the lock) has a habit of seizing and the only way to open the boot is by forcing the lock with the key (nearly broke key at the berkshire meet). Fixed under warranty

DITTO !,
Same here, exactly the same symptoms/result. Dealers were familiar with the problem as they had fixed so many already. Surprised it hasn't triggered a recall yet as there must be plenty of people who have broken their keys trying to force the lock !

Thanks for the info.

I thought that once or twice my boot had been stiff to unlock. Must be just starting to need attention. I thought it was me trying to open it too quickly. Didn't realise it was another problem.

I will try to hold out for the upcoming service, my car has already been at the zoo in excess of 20 days in the last year.

My boot unlocks ok, but it is very heavy to open, as if the hydralics aren't helping. Has anyone else heard of this type of issue and could it be somthing to do with fuses?
