You will probably have heard about Robs awful luck with his CC's (all 3 of them) and I think after all he has done for us CC owners across the WORLD, I thought it was about time we showed him some support.
The idea is to each write to Peugeot to tell them about how he has helped us out with our problems and has assured potential owners to go ahead and still order a CC even after the problems that he has had. (Personal examples would be great.) I think that then they "might" realise who they are dealing with and pull a few stops out.

We don’t want to lose him from the CC family, but if we don’t act now it looks like we will. This will be bad for both us owners and for Peugeot as he is a driving force behind these cars and I speak from personal experience - VERY helpful when it comes to the CC.

I am sure you will be only too pleased to take time out to help Rob as he has continually taken time out to help us.
If you can draft a letter and then post to me, I will then forward them to Peugeot HQ.
If you have any other ideas then please let me know.

Please forward the letters to:

Regards
Julia

Julia,

I cannot agree more. I will draft something from me over the weekend and e-mail it to you.

Ok I am glad we are getting some responses here.
Here are some points I have thought of which would be good to point out to Peugeot.

-The problems we have all had with our CC's
-The reassurance from Rob and the site to carry on and place the order on the CC.
-How Rob has helped you
-The bad service from dealers (not all I know!)
-The lack of Customer Service from Peugeot
-The site (thanks Lyndon)
-The meet (April - Drayton Manor)
-Quick response on queries and problems from Rob

With regards to standardising a template, it may make the letters look too similar. I think to get the impression across to Peugeot we need to show that the letters are different in their own way.
No letter is going to be wrong in any way - just write down how you think Rob has been dealt and the disgusting service he has received after all he has done for Peugeot.

The more the merrier so get those fingers typing and email them to me as soon as you can!

Thanks
Julia

If you don't want to write a letter or haven't got time, please spend 2 minutes just post something small on here. (Every little helps) (No I don't work for Tesco!)

Glad your CC is ok and that you are enjoying it.
As you are quite new to the site and have been very lucky with no problems it is entirely up to you what you write.
I hope I am making it clear the point we are trying to get across.
It isn't fair that Rob has done so much for us all and promoted the CC so widely with useful knowledge and handy tips to be dealt with like he has by Peugeot.

Thanks
Julia

You lost me a bit on that last point. Have I missed why he's been so badly treated by Peugeot? I know he's had three lemons but that's luck of the draw, I don't think Peugeot will have deliberately given him the worst cars. I'm sure if he rejects it he'll get a good deal as I'm confident he's persistent enough, after all he's been to Peugeot HQ before!

I'm willing to help I just want clarification about what we're complaining about on Rob's behalf.

i agree with what rachel is saying. i'm getting my new CC on wednesday and hope i don't have any problems with it. i know if my dealer had the choice then they would give me a CC that would never ever have a single problem.

but ... as rob was and has been with his new CC, i was unlucky and suffered with numerous faults in a very short period - just luck of the draw.

rob - i would give the dealer the CC back to fix and ask for written confirmation that if they aren't successful, you either get a full refund or a replacement again within a few weeks rather than months like i am getting.

a letter to peugeot can't make a lot of difference as they can't guarantee a car is and will be fault free - if they could then we would all have one.

derek

I understand your concern Julia, I agree with Rachel and Derek. Derek as well as others on this Forum have provided invaluable assistance to other members and have also been saddled with lemons. I really think if we are going to help member(s), then we should help them all in an equal manner.

I have made my own feelings plain with regard to the way Rob and others have been treated by Peugeot within the "TOTAL FRUSTRATION-and possible goodbye" topic and I am happy to give permission for you to forward my replies on to Peugeot in order not just to assist Rob, but any member in need.

Call it the ramblings of a mad woman too early on a Saturday morning after not enough sleep and too much beer, but does anyone else think that Peugeot aren't treating us seriously enough?

There seems to be a load of faults on this site - leaks, cutting out, not starting, immobiliser faults to name the obvious - but what is the scale of the problem?

I know people will use this site to complain so it's probably biassed, but what are the real stats? How many have they sold? How many are faulty? How many are repaired well?

If it's that bad, howsabout(here comes the mad bit) getting Auto Express along to our meet as they were sympathetic a year ago and Pug don't appear to have made ANY progress going by Rob's pair of lemons???? We can give them a list as long as our arms, can't we?

Told you it was mad but as BT say - it's good to vent!

My sympathy to Rob but I agree that we should help fellow members. We should try to get Peugeot to do something about the problem if they can or at least extend the warranty or offer some sort of clause to the sale whereby we can have the roof leaks fixed if there are future problems. I am still in the middle of deciding whether to buy a 206cc in Australia but would definitely write to Peugeot from downunder offering support to Rob & to get peugeot to improve their product. I will email my letter to u Julia. Support from Oz
