Has anyone had a CAT1 alarm fitted to their PUG by the monkeys at peugeot. If so how much was the upgrade from the standard CAT 2 and is it much different
Regards

The upgrade price is £250 but it doesn't work with the new multiplex wiring. As of yet there is no Cat 1 upgrade for these systems. Perhaps in the future they will bring it out. My local Pug dealer tells me they haven't got round to updating all the accessories for the mutliplex wiring.

I went elsewhere & had a clifford 500 fitted. £550 and I've even set it off myself when I forgot to disarm it when washing my car. Oooops. Highly recommended if pricey.

Are there any conflictions between the Pug alarm and the Clifford? I was interested in the Clifford after I was told I couldn't upgrade my alarm through Peugeot. Does this mean I have to use the original Pug alarm button to disable theirs then use the Clifford button to disable that one? Have you got all the extra gizmos that come with the Clifford like auto engine start etc...?

Hmmmm, I haven't gone for auto start on mine... I've got auto central locking, black jax (so the engine cuts out if you don't do "things" right - that's fun - NOT!), 2-proximity sensors (inside & out), auto window up (useful when I put my windows down a crack to stop the squeeking then forget to put them up again)... and more (that I can't remember)...

Yes, the pug alarm still works, in parallel with the Clifford. You can use both blips to activate both alarms or just the Clifford blip (it operates the central locking exactly the same as the Pug alarm).

Hope this helps (but not if you're a thief, that's why I missed some of the toys out )... Check it out at the meet @ Drayton Manor on 21st April if you're unsure! Pauline
