After months of enduring a tinny boot rattle yesterday -Eureka
After removing boot trim (inside boot behind number plate ) I found a bolt on electrical connection on a thin piece of pressed steel . On twanging the flap of steel I heard my tinny rattle . I wedged a piece of hard foam packing between the flap and the main part of the boot and no more rattle. It's surprising how much quieter driving is . Once the trim is replaced the fix is invisible .Everyone with a tinny rattle should try this as I imagine all boot internals are the same.
Happy rattle free motoring.
Note Be careful when removing handle on inside of boot (for closing) the captured nuts on the inside of the boot have a tendancy to break free , so gently does it.
