now,bearing in mind that i have trouble turning my compo on,what im about to ask is sooooooooooo daft that im bound to get stick,but who cares.

Is it possible to have a chat room on this site,somewhere those logged in could go and annoy each other.

As i said,ive no clue about compos and websites,it may just not be possible,but doing a bit of creeping,i will say that lyndon is a bit of a compo genius.

you are now all free to have a pop at me for being so thick

See those buttons at the bottom of people's posts? If there's a "YIM" one, they're on Yahoo! and if there's a "msmn" one they're on MSN. Just click on the buttons (or go to their profile) to get their IDs.

Reckon there's any mileage setting up an IRC server/channel? Then we can all wander in and chat when we feel like it without havig to add evreyone to MSN etc.

MSN / Yahoo works through a firewall, so i can use it at work.
IRC does'nt though

There are simple ways round that... you don't necessarily need to use an IRC client to connect to IRC
