Nooo! For the first time my car has cut out twice in traffic, this happens when I slow down and the revs dip sharply below 800 rpm before returning to a not quite smooth running. This is weird - I had a similar problem with a Rover coupe only to be told it was the computer processor management unit (CPU). The other weird thing is that I drove it a little earlier and it hasn't happened again (yet).
I seem to remeber other members recounting similar problems and since a have a memory like a giant sieve, perhaps someone can jog mine and let me know if they are experiencing the same.
I had it ONCE and then never again... I was going downhill and braking and steering round a roundabout at the same time and it just died and the power steering and brakes died with it... jump started it just in time to miss the wall dead ahead! Have absolutely NO IDEA why and it hasn't happened since, thank god. Odd, eh?
I would get it into the dealers and get the to check it. The reason being that if you log the problem and then you do have a crash due to no power steering , then you can prove its Peugeots fault

Do make a list and give it to them. Then they have no excuses and you wont forget anything either.
Go through a copy of the list with them when you pick the car up. I always do. vThey soon become keen when you next take your car in coz they know you are watching them

not had that problem with the CC yet, but just had trouble getting it to start a number of times - before saying bye bye to it
i have had quite a few occasions with my 306 (02/98-05/00) and 206 (05/00-12/01) cutting out but normally when driving from 40mph and below when not using the accelerator and normally gradually slowing down. reported the 306 and they never had a clue so just left it.
funny thing was it never happened to any of the 3 x 106's i had for 3.5yrs. different engines in 206/306 from 106's so i dont know if that had any significance.
derek

I claim the record for the shortest distance before conk out for a CC - 10.5 miles! I had just done a celebratory burn at 60mph on leaving the dealer in my new 1.6 Auto, and when I stopped at some traffic lights the engine died and would not restart.
To give the salesman at Tim Brinton, Cambridge, his due, he was there in 15 minutes with a loan 206 auto saloon and took mine back to the garage. He tells me the electronic diagnosis is a faulty speed sensor which detects speed and controls fuel supply to the engine - they expect to replace it in 2 days - I'll believe it when I see it
At least this forum prepared me for the worst - just have to hope it's not the first of many glitches.
Well they did bring it back this morning and I've travelled 100 miles in sunshine (roof off, whahey!) and pouring rain (roof on, no leaks) and all's well so far. Will wonders never cease? (God I hope not)
The Auto box seems quite smooth and responsive, no hunting on hills, good kick-down etc.
