Just checking the latest configurations on Peugeot's website and I notice that ESP is now a £300 option on the S. Doesn't seem to be an option (or standard) on the SE for some reason.
No further info on ESP on the website so I did a quick Google search and found this in a review of the GTi180:
"...ESP (electronic stability programme), with the combined functions of traction control and directional control, which can be deactivated if required"

In this icy weather with the SLK I notice my ESP comes into operation almost daily on slippery roads, I notice a warning triangle with a yellow exclamation mark which flashes in my instrument binnicle, I wondered if any CC owner experienced any similar warning light flashing in icy conditions which may indicate ESP working in their CC?

Hmmm..
As far as I knew the CC doesn't have ESP... well I'm sure my July 02 CC doesn't... as i can wheelspin / slide like no-ones business!
The 307 that I had as a courtesy car once had it...
Robbie... I thought u weren't supposed to run traction control in the ice and snow? :s I'd heard it messed up... hence the reason most Mercs and BMW's have a winter mode which (supposedly) turns off ABS and traction!

I had no choice in the matter. I got myself stranded on one of the many untreated roads in the Bexleyheath area in 6 inches of snow on Wednesday and once I managed to release my car. I found I had no ABS. I only had the ABS warning light and a message saying ABS fault and I still had to try and get to the nearest gritted road (not many in the area) which was a downhill gradient of around 250 yards with no ABS I ended up gong downhill with all wheels locked and it was nearly 10 minutes before my ABS came back. I took the car to the local zoo and all they said was a frozen ABS pump.eh what? who would turn ABS off in ice?! thats crazy isnt it ? ALready tested my abs on sheet ice and its great, err apart from my breaks have a slight squeek again ahem
