What's the warranty

Was their ever a definite answer to an issue raised a few months back about the warranty on imports, was it 1 year or did the EU change it to 2?

well uk cars get 3 years i think. 1 year from pug and the rest from a dealer? or i may be totally wrong.

2 years' manufacturer's warranty.

No. What the dealer provide on top of the manufacturer's warranty is up to them.

I have 2 year's unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty and a third year's 60,000 mile extended warranty.

I am going to the dealer in the morning armed with 5 faults thinking my warranty ran out at the end of february (1 year). So I take it I can go to them knowing under EU law I can have 2 years?

The best thing to do is to check your service book. That should actually tell you how long you have/had.

I got my import at the end of May 2002. I was told I got 1 year Pug Warranty and was advised to extend my warrenty by 2 years to bring it up to 3 years. Have they done me or what???
Would they have known the changes in the law when I bought my car in May? Have I paid for a years warranty I dont even need?

The best thing to do is to check the service book. This will state what period your manufacturer's warranty is for.

I checked mine with Peugeots customer service. I bought my car from Jam Jar, who informed me that I only had a one year warranty. When my fist birthday came and went and Peugeot had not tried to sell me a warranty, I thought something was a miss. I rang them and was told that the car had a three year warranty. Furtunate as it had to go in last week.

Emailed Peugeot UK and their customer services stated that my Pug which was imported from France in 02 has a 2 year warranty.

Cool, right Mr Dealer........
