both my CC's have been 2002 multiplex models. lights go off as soon as you lock (via remote) with both cars.

My lights stay on for about a minute. I assume it's deliberate, as the tail lights go off but the headlights stay on. I think it's supposed to be so that you can see to get your house keys out and open the door when you park on your driveway.

Derek -- maybe you need a s/w upgrade to enable this feature. Do you have one-touch up 'n' down on the driver's window?

yes, my drivers window is one touch.

i'm not worried that the lights don't stay on as i have a lamp post in the front of my house

Makes no difference to me either. My headlights illuminate the street opposite my drive thereby blinding anyone watching me until I get into my house.

auto lights aren't popular where i live. my neighbour opposite once mentioned that when i drove away at 5.15am, my lights lit up his bedroom and woke him up so i started driving away with side lights only (he's a mate from work so he is ok).

then i got my CC and not so long ago he mentioned it again - i told him there was nothing i could do as they go on themselves

Just noticed you guys are talking about single-touch electric windows. Don't your buttons have two steps either way for both driver & passenger? Touch it lightly, it moves as long as you hold the button, push it to second stop and it goes on its own...

Certainly does - "one touch" refers to the second stop, as opposed to normal switches which stop when you let go of the switch.

I assumed (though I haven't tried) that it wasn't one touch for passenger-side, as the driver's side button has a big 'A' (for 'Auto') in it but the other one doesn't.

I'm not sure what happens with the passenger side. I think it goes down automatically, but you have to hold the button for it to go back up again.

There was talk that you could get the BSI reprogrammed to allow full one-touch operation for the passenger window. I'm not sure if you'd also need a new switch for this though.

Mine stay on for about 30 secs (front head lights), Im sure it says thats what it does in the manual, although I could be wrong.

Its enough to get people telling me ive left my lights on alot - a real lot .. a few times a week .. I think they are getting used to it now ... heh.

This may be a stupid question but why don't any of you turn your lights off before you get out of the car?

When you open the door, you get your beeping to say youve left the lights on. Why not take the opportunity to switch them off????

Maybe its because I come from the old school of driving cars that don't have clicky buttons on the key to lock the car.
