VIUS WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All,

**Virus warning**

this morning i opened my email and got a attachment sweet.scr norton checked it OK, in my half awake state i run the file, which then went on to disable my firewall and antivirus , as soon as i saw this i quickly pulled the plugged on the net connection.

so if you get any attachment from me then delete it straight away and DO NOT RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

hopefully it's just my machine that needs reformatting and it's not spread itself through my address book !!!!!!


so i've be off line for awhile until i know i'm clean form this bastard virus !!!!!!!

Thanks for the warning Lyndon. The story checks out - this is definitely a real virus and not a hoax. You can get information about it on the Norton website:

This is a very new virus, and from the look of the website info, it isn't on "LiveUpdate" yet, although it is on "Intelligent Updater" as of yesterday. In the meantime, as always, everyone should be very careful about opening ANY email attachments, particularly if there is even the slightest thing strange about them.

yeah i don't usual open attachments i don't know, totally my own fault

well at least there's a bright side my machine will be free of all the junk that i've put on it over the months

i'm back

hopefully the virus didn't get the chance to spread itself through my address book in outlook express

so if anyone gets an attachment as described on the website posted by Matt, thanks, from me then please let me know

at least one good thing as come from this, my pc is now super fast at loading until i fill it full of crap again
