Well its that time again to put on my steel capped boots an protective clothing to do battle with the old ladies for the pre-Christmas food shop.

I expect to come away with a collection of trolly rage bruises, insults being thrown, an my trolly being nicked at least twice and wheeled round the other side of the store before being abandoned by some long sighted git who eventually realises its not his trolly.

Wish me luck, tis the season to be Merry.

Don't forget to park as far as possible from the trolley storage area, or you may get hit by flying trollies.

Did the shop yesterday and it was worse than feared! Couldn't move for trolleys and baskets getting shoved in my back and then had the joys of queing to pay for it!
What a nightmare - I wish you luck!!

Paul and Erm

There is one major draw back of shopping in the small wee hours.

They. because of licensing laws, dont sell alcohol after 11pm.

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I go to Sainsburys at lunch to buy a sandwich. I knew as I parked it was a bad idea. Got my sandwich and proceeded to find a queue that wasnt 45 people deep!
I eventually find one with about 10 people in front of me and think that as I only have one item they would see and let me go in front (as I would do if I was in their position)
Oh no, they all look at me as if to say why am I only buying a sandwich and not half the shop like them!!!!

Well things wern't all that bad at 11pm in Sainsburys last night.

Only got one insult from a young twenty something lad with a walking stick when he thought my trolly came within 6 feet of him " You couldn't get much closer an run me over mate could you?!!" Drunken Silly bugger! :P

TOP TIP: leave your gf/wife queing as soon as you enter the shop, and fill the trolley as desired with multiple trips to the shelves you need!
only inconvenient: your gf/wife moaning at you if you pick up the wrong stuff! (or if you dont pick up the banoffee tarts! )
