Hi Everybody!!!

Just become the proud owner of a new 2.0 CC SE and I love it! :D

Quick question - the manual states that if you lock the car via the remote and inadvertendly press the 'unlock' button on the remote, if you don't open any of the doors within 30 secs, then the car will lock again as a security precaution.

This doesn't appear to work - has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks,

Yen

Hi Yen,

Congrats and welcome!

I havent heard of this auto lock feature, maybe its something new, it seems they keep changing the specs.

Is it UK spec?

Thanks Jim!

Yep, it's a UK spec......

The manual mentions this feature but it could be wrong! For example, the manual states that the 206 cc 2.0 has ESP/ASR installed (traction control) but this isn't the case.

No point posting the manual page as to my knowledge, the 206cc hasn't got it - the manual shows a picture of a button left of the 'disable internal alarm protection', by the steering column which is supposed to activate/deactivate the traction control.

Has anyone ever seen a 206cc anywhere in the world which has this function enabled as detailed in the manual?

My Jeremy Clarkson theory:

This ESP/Traction control thingy is obviously a massive wind up by the French on the English and some Frenchman was obviously having a laugh when putting the manual together one pissed evening "lets put some fictional ESP button in the manual" "oh yes lets - that'll get the mad cow English Brigade going at least until Christmas."

Now the Germans -they're a little more sincere these days, at least I've got an ESP button that works

Oh well - looks like the traction control is a wind-up then!

Anyway back to my initial question - does anyone know anything about the automatic doorlocking or is this another 'feature' that doesn't want to work????
