My CC has been lowered by about 40mm and I have found some wheels that I would like to put on my car. I would have preferred to stick to the 16" size, but these particular alloys only come in 15 and 17". My question is. Has anyone lowered their CC and put 17" wheels on their car and, if so, did you need to modify the arches? And have you experience any bad points from doing this. E.g. tyre rubbing, poor ride or reduction in acceleration performance.
Thanks.
Anyone lowered their cc and have 17" alloys. Please adv

sorry sir i was in the back office sir owh suit you
so you want some 17's sir ? owh impress the ladies sir ? suit you sir
you should'nt need to do any arch work, as on 17's there is still a little bit of room around. I think a cpl of others have dnoe this ...
if you try 18's then you will need to roll the arches and don't even think about 19's as they don't fit in the rear arches at all.
ohh a pug cc on 17's lowered owh should be popular with the ladies sir .. owh suit you sir
yes I have had far to much coffee today.

Hello, 17" wheels do rub the rear bumper when you lower it but I suppose thats what you get for dropping a cc nearly 70mm. You wont get any probs if you have only lowered it 40mm apert from the bumps in the road as standard shocks are still too soft for the job. I am putting 19" wheels on mine soon, yippee
