passenger seat -- why so high?

Sat in the passenger seat for the first time at the weekend, and my head is only 0.5" from the roof lining

Same thing when the missus sits there -- and she's only 5'3". Is there a particular reason the passenger seat is so much higher than the driver's?

Well if the driver's seat is in the lowered position and the passenger seat isn't, then that'd be a good reason

Yeah it could just be adjusted up high, which is simple to alter. Try here if you want instructions on all the seat adjustments.

I've found the passanger seats are left high in the last 3 cars I've purchased, I suppose the first thing any delivery driver does is adjust the drivers seat, but obviously not the passangers.

I didn't think the passenger seat had height adjustment -- only the driver's seat.

I think I seem to remember that none of the pre 2002 models (pre Oct 2001) had height adjustment levers on leather or cloth passanger seats. After which only the leather passanger seats in the 2002 models had height adjustment levers (but not on the cloth seats). Hope thats right.

Adjusted it now -- much happier. Manual doesn't mention anything about the passenger side being height-adjustable, with leather or without. :rolleyes:
