Fitted to my 206SE in September 2001 at Trax in Silverstone by Simon from http://www.pugsport-gti.com.

I immediately noticed a difference in a slight increased power and the engine revving 'free'er'. I am sure I have a few more bhp (not been tested officially yet) so seems a worthwhile buy for a small investment.

I would recommend the K&N panel and wouldn't even consider a induction kit unless it was one of those expensive forced air types that costs and arm and a leg.

Are they easy to fit and how much more power do they give? Do they increase your insurance.

The K&N Panel gives an independantly tested 3-4bhp increase over standard..

Warranty is NOT affected

I changed my airfilter. Now, I put Ramair. Ramair is better then k&n. Please look results. K&N can gice more hp but ramair is giving much more torque. Ramair's dust capacity is much more better. Ramair producing by k&n

Just bought and fitted a K&N panel filter, through Simon at Pugsport-GTi.

Definately worth the £35, the engine does seem more free and throttle reponse has picked up.

Don't get me wrong it doesn't turn the CC into a supercar, but a noticeable diffence for a few quid.

cool - glad to hear it makes a difference - may give it a go myself.

was it easy to fit?
(like, easy for someone who has done nothing more complicated than check the oil on a car before!)

Andrew, yeah simple mate.

The thing is pre-oiled so no a***ing around, just whack it in.

Four screws to undo air box lid,
Remove old,
Put in K&N checking it fits snug,
Do up screws ensuring lid is closed fully.

I'm no expert, but it is easy. As the box says it does not affect your warranty.

I let you know what it does for fuel economy? up/down/no change we'll see?

Three weeks and four tanks of petrol later the result is....

The K&N makes fuel economy a tiny, weeny bit better. Saying that I didn't buy it for that reason, - £35 quid well spent.

I do notice a difference but it is enhanced much more by fitting a superchip as they work togther t give much better throttle reponse, acceleration and a bit better fuel economy.

So what difference does this filter make...apart from the slight increase in performance and possible economy...does it sound a lot better or not?
