Peugeot AA Renewal

Hi Everyone,

Can someone answer/advise me what to do in the following matter.

My One year milestone with my CC is nearly up and therefore I was sent a renewal form from Peugeot AA... My dad already has normal AA cover and I can get cover as a second car/driver for about £25.

What I need to know is... Does the normal AA cover cover everything that the Peugeot AA cover covers?

The reason I ask is I remember in the old forum an issue was brought to our attention that the Peugeot AA cover would cover a puncture situation and allow you to get towed home or a garage... or something like that...

SO what do I do?

Thanks,
Tyce

I had problems with AA when I previously owned a peugeot. I like you, had the renewal letter come through and paid for it to be renewed. When I actually came to sell my car I was told by Peugeot that I shouldn't have got this letter as I was already covered!!
don't know how it works now and can't remember all the ins and outs but just check!

Hi Julia,

Thanks for your reply... I assume that the Peugeot AA cover is only for a year so if I don't take it out then I won't have AA cover unless I go on my Dad's cover instead.

What I wanted to know really is that is everything that you get with the Peugeot AA cover the same as the Standard one you get from AA?

By the way Julia you've had your CC for a while... how is yours doing? I have to admit that mine is good as gold **touch wood** no leaks no engine cuts and no jamming roof!.. I must have got a good one.

By the way did you take you car in for that recall a while ago... I still have to do mine and was wondering what it involved and how long it takes.

Thanks,
Tyce

Hi Tyce
Yep my CC is coming up to 11 months old!
I have had a few leaks but nothing major enough to give it to the garage to play with!
I took it in for the recall work - was one of the 1st in and yes they pi**ed about with it and I had to take it in again as the first visit they only "investigated" the recall as opposed to investigated and did the work needed!!! Typical Pug I hear you say!
Touch wood no other major problems! Had to have a tyre replaced as had 3 nails in it! woops! Managed to get a VERY good price on the Eagle F1's!
It did cut out just the once but nothing else since then!?
So so far so good. Seems like yesterday when we were all typing about picking our CC's up!
The best thing now the engine has loosened up is that is seems to be that much faster!

Hi Julia,

Glad to hear that you don't have problems with your CC..

I'll have to get my car booked for the recall work. Its just a hassle as I work Monday to Friday and the Garage is not on the way to work.

So how many miles have you now done? I'm embaressed to say that I've only done about 4,000 miles in one year! pathetic aye! Going at this rate my car won't loosen much until a few years down the line.

I have to get my back speakers changed as I bought a pair last year but never manage to get around to fit them... plus its a hassle.. but I did change the HeadUnit and speakers at the front.

Take Care,
Tyce

Hi Tyce
When you take your car in for the recall make sure they carry out the recall work as opposed to just investigating it on the first visit as you will have to go in again which is just another hassle!

I am almost on 9000 miles! I am sure your miles will increase when the sun comes out!

I had to have both my rear speakers replaced as I blew them! Must have had my music too loud!

Glad you are enjoying your car though!

How comes you have a BIG star and I've got a itty bitty one? I've been using this forum for about a year and my profile says something like "Just Started"....

Hiya,

I don't like my teeny weeny star!

Well actually I just haven't been posting as much as I didn't really have anything to add... or nothing interesting to say!

By the way I checked my milage and its even more pathetic than I thought before - 3500 Miles...

When I saw in Paris I saw soooooooo many CCs it was unbelievable!... although never saw a red one! hehe

I thought my "change of rear speaker" plan was pretty good!

Tyce.

PS just noticed that my star is a little bit bigger now! Yay for me!

Here comes the star of bethlehem!

Your mileage is pathetic with a capital P!
How come you have done so few miles???

I would call your dealer and mention to them that you expect the parts to be in for the recall as you will not take your car back again for the parts to be fitted.
But yeah get your a** in gear and book it in!
Your CC may be suffering in the mean time

I was in Italy a few weeks ago and didn't see one CC!

Woah your star is blinding me ;)

Hiya,

You have a "IN YOUR FACE" star! where as my star is very "Angelic"!

I know my mileage is pathetic... I use it on weekends and a couple of times a week!.. I drive to my girlfriend's place and back mainly and then I goto Kingston and I have been to Leicester coz I was forced into it which I won't be repeating again! One idiot tried to race me on the way back to London... don't you just hate that!!

You are right that I should ring the dealer and make sure that parts are there coz I'll be Pee'd off with a big capital P!!

Probably Peugeot being French you can understand why there were more CCs there! plus I was in the Posh bit! not saying that you weren't mind you! ;)

Tyce
