Hi all, wonder if someone else can try this sequence and let me know what happens. Starting with climate on as normal (say 22 degrees A/C on) switch on the heated front and rear screens, then switch on recycle air ... now try and switch off the heated front window. In our car we can't switch the heated front window off, pressing HFW button toggles the recycle, recycle also toggles recycle ... we have to hit A/C or off to reset the system. Heated rear switches off fine (fnar).

Odd. March 02 2.0SE btw (with trip computer, super fangly mono-wotsit wiring).

Cheers, Dunkwho

I doubt it's a bug. On mine, pressing the front 'demister program' button only turns it on. To turn it off again, you press 'auto'.

When you switch recycled on and press the front demister button again, it will turn recycled air off as recycled air is not part of the demisting program.

Ours switches on and off fine when you push the HFW button, its only when you get into this combination of HFW, HRW, recycle that the HFW button stops working ...

hey ho. (at least ours isn't possessed !! )

oki heres how to use it.

to dimist front only press demist twice and if you want rear too press demish twice follow by temp up if you dont want temp up during demist then dont press temp up but temp down unless you dont want temp down then push + fan and if you want increase fan and demist then dont press demist twice at he beginning but just once without pressing the rear and if you want rear as well then press rear first twice instead of front then pull the raise seat lever spin arround three times and bark like a dog pull the hand brake :D

hehehe when i want to demist my car i just lower the roof down, unless it rain

Nah - I hardly ever have it off "Auto". And when I do, it's just to stick the demist program on for a minute or so after which I press "Auto" again. Dead easy.
