Went to the motor show yesterday. 307CC was there and is GORGEOUS! 206CCs were looking lovely as usual.
The 206CC rivals were out in force....
Smart Roadster is disgusting - too weird!
Nissan Micra C+C is unfortunately very nice. only bit I don't like is the bonnet.
StreetKa is cute but nothing special and doesn't have the electric tin top.
Citreon Plurea or whatever it is called is cheap and nasty and complicated.
The surprise was the Daihatsu Copen. It is gorgeous. The only drawback to it is that it is a Daihatsu. http://www.vale-web.co.uk/motoring/arti ... icleID=258[/url]

My mum is probably getting a StreetKa (not sure if she is going through a mid-life crisis).
I like them as long as the roof is down. But after having a 206CC there would be no going back to a manually operated roof.
IF (and that is a very big IF) I ever decided to change my CC I would think about the Daihatsu (if the reviews of it turn out ok)

I have to say that the street KA looks lovely from the outside with the roof up or down!
However I went to the motorshow the other day and sat in one and was very dissapointed! The concept model had a lovely alloy interior much like the Lotus Elise, but the one they are producing has pretty much the same interior as the Normal KA. You can understand why they have done this but it just looks a bit cheap inside, nothing on the quiality of the CC.
Oh well just my opinion!

ooh yeah and the pretenders did look nice! The Daihatsu Copen looks muchg better than expected, the Micra is ok, but still only a micra at the end of the day!
The star of the show had to be the new Bentley coupe! What a car! And British, well kinda, sort of, not really but yeah!

Went to the motor show yesterday.
I thought the Daihatsu looked good, but the roof mechanism seemed a bit wobbly. Especially when the boot goes back down over the hood. It also didn’t have the finishing touches like the cc’s mechanism.
At least Daihatsu were brave enough to show their roofs off. The micra frog eyed jap-taxi didn’t go up once in all the time I was there. Nice interior though! I can remember back 2 years ago to the 206cc launch at Birmingham with 5+ 206cc’s roofs up and down constantly. I can also remember sitting inside and thinking how well put together it all was. If all the moans are for real on this forum. I do wonder how reliable these new cars are going to be.
As for the Ford’s TTT, First T standing for toy,- TT. Well it looks good from the back, but doesn’t bring anything new to the party. Ah well It might be next years “It carâ€

Yeah maybe I am too used to my leather interior with sports pack but the interior of the StreetKa at the motor show was so cheap! Fabric seats and plasticy dashboard. Give me a 206CC anyday.
There was a lovely lilac Morgan (i think) there that I would have taken home with me straight away
