That's the last time I let "soon to be hubbie" drive my car - caught on camera on A4 Bristol - fixed penalty and 3 points on licence....I'm just smug cos it wasn't me!! Not that I would ever exceed a speed limit! "Soon to be hubbie" came out with the most fantastic excuse - '206cc is just too powerful to be driven at 30mph!' - hopefully he's learnt his lesson, there goes a 17 year unblemished driving record!
If I'm not here I'm in Symi.....where the sun is always shining.....

Yes, I read somewhere today that the extra revenue now going direct to police forces will result in an extra million drivers being fined over the next 12 months.
I suppose insurance cover will also go up for those with more than 3 points on their licence.
I've got 3 points 2 years ago from a speed gun. Me partner got one through the post the other day, she says if she gets another I will have to claim I was driving so her work related insurance won't go up too much
Robbie.

Worst bit about it was that I'd been driving til about 10 minutes beforehand!!!! - we'd switched over so that he could have his first go behind the wheel!!
He knows he has been a naughty boy, and is very contrite! There's no excuse - it is, as they say in the movies, a fair cop!!
I'm sending the piccie to his boss!

Do you actually know of any speed cameras where you could get up to 175mph?
All the ones on my route (with the exception of the rare occasions I go into London along the M4) are through residential areas.

Hey guys, by law the Old Bill (no dis Robbie) have to issue your Notice Of Intended Prosecution within 14 days of the offence so, allowing for post, if you don't receive it within 17 days you could be in the clear. I was flashed April - but it never arrived. So it aint over until the fat postie sings
I found the Road Traffic Act that covered it - it's true (I think!). Do a google search on NIP and gatso, that'll turn up a few useful sites.
